Greeting the Amtrak

The Cornerstone Christian Academy students were once again visitors to the Avon Park Depot Museum. Cornerstone Christian Academy is partnering with Christian parents and Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church to provide a Christ-centered Bible-based education for student in grade Kindergarten through 6th grade. The students were given an historical documentation of the early development of Avon Park by Ms. Oliver Crosby, a.k.a. Jimmie Garner Butts. The students then boarded the Silver Palm Dining Car for lunch and the opportunity to greet the Amtrak Silver Meteor as it passed on way to New York.
