This exhibit contains military uniforms from local Avon Park residents who participated in World War I and World War II. Documents and information explaining Avon Park's participation in military events from the past archived here. A 1940 Zenith Radio donated by the Jacaranda Hotel is digitally modified to play the broadcast that President Franklin Roosevelt made to congress on December 8, 1941 declaring war on Imperial Japan.
