Absence of digital archival records for Harry Leigh’s 1913 photographs

Harry Leigh of New Haven, Connecticut, brought back a set of photographs from his winter stay in Avon Park in 1913, six of which were printed in a New Haven newspaper. An exhaustive digital search across public records, historical databases, the State Archives of Florida, and the Library of Congress yielded no specific collections or holdings matching a “Harry Leigh” associated with Avon Park photographs.

The original prints or negatives do not appear to be digitally cataloged in major repositories. If they survive, they remain offline, leaving the physical archives of the New Haven Museum and the Connecticut Historical Society as the remaining avenues for investigation.

Additionally, searches for corresponding 1913 weather records specifically tied to the Harry Leigh photograph set were conducted, but no such records surfaced in the digital searches.
