Honoring Our Local Heroes
Avon Park is a small town with a long roll of people who gave more than they were asked to. Some wore a uniform, in the armed forces or the fire department. Some led the town, built its churches and schools, or stood up when standing up cost something. This page honors them, one at a time, as the Society researches each story.
If you know of someone who belongs here, tell us. A name and a few dates are enough to start.
